The Governor’s Institute Programs

This summer the Governor’s Institute will run seven overnight institutes (five to fifteen days) for motivated 9th, 10th, and 11th grade high school students. These educational programs are held at various colleges in Vermont and bring students from around the state together around a specific theme. The themes are: Arts, Asian Cultures, Current Issues and Youth Activism, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematical Sciences, and Science and Technology.

Information packets and applications are available on the Governor’s Institutes website: www.giv.org. Completed applications (including fee) are due to Guidance by March 15th. Rice then nominates the students for the specific institutes. Feel free to contact Mr. LaCroix if you have any questions.
